Acquanetta!

A few nights ago I watched the Johnny Weissmuller action epic TARZAN AND THE LEOPARD WOMAN (1946) and was surprised that the titular femme was none other than Acquanetta! I have only been familiar with a couple of her movies - JUNGLE WOMAN and CAPTIVE WILD WOMAN - so having her pop up was great. To be blunt, I've never been impressed with her acting ability but she is an incredibly attractive lady with an undeniable screen presence.

The big shock in this above average entry in the RKO Tarzan series was in the second scene in which Acquanetta appears. She is talking to the main villain and the costume she is wearing is quite revealing. Indeed, its difficult to ignore that she is - to be careful here - moving about a good deal under the very sheer garment tasked with containing her bosoms. It might just be the excellent resolution on the DVDs but it is possible to clearly see right through her top to her rather enticing flesh! Wowsa! Not sure how this slipped by the censors in 1946 but I shall be eternally grateful.
